I don't use Yahoo imagery. Will see if I can find steps to reproduce, but when I reported it it seemed to be every time I switched the background defaulted to dim even if dim checkbox wasn't checked.

 Fixed. Ow. My poor confused brain. [25522]. I don't even know if this was
 the OP's problem, but there was a bug where Yahoo imagery was always
 dimmed.
