 So I give an exampe ;-)

 Way A has nodes 1, 2, 3

 Way B has nodes    2, 3, 4

 Selecting way A will change its color to red on its whole length, but
 selecting way B will change only the color of the part between node 3 and
 4 to red

 Or

 Selecting way B will change its color to red on its whole length, but
 selecting way A will change only the color of the part between node 1 and
 2 to red

 It depends on which way is above the other one ...

 All nodes are changing to green, but may be not the whole way to red.
