 Since direction is really important for coastline etc, we should indicate
 it on the map. Can we do an asymmetrical embellishment, like little ticks
 sticking out into the water? (So people don't have to remember whether
 coastline goes clockwise or anticlockwise - they'd just remember whether
 the ticks go into the water or into the land.)
