 Richard, I was just thinking of something like an arrow head with just one
 side. (That is, --,--,--, rather than -->-->-->) I can't remember if
 Halcyon/MapCSS supports anything like that (I guess not). Are you thinking
 that would be too slow to render, compared to a fill?
