 The text for HTTP error 500 says: "Please contact the server
 administrator, webmaster at openstreetmap.org and inform them of the time the
 error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the
 error."

 Mails to webmaster at openstreetmap.org seem to end up in the bit bucket. I
 suggest changing the text to something like: "Please check
 trac.openstreetmap.org. If you don't find the issue reported there, you
 may want to create a new ticket."
