Activity stream / user page redesign

Hi all,

I have started working on activity stream implementation. Details are on
the wiki:

There are links to a Github branch that I used to merge current work on
user pages redesign. I would like to discuss functional/UI requirements
for this and also some technical aspects should probably arise.
