Yes it's a big deal. I love the OWL New History Tab but it's not stable enough to be used on the live site yet (see eg [this issue](https://github.com/ppawel/openstreetmap-watch-list/issues/20)). But please don't discuss it in this thread - it's not a general thread, it's a thread specifically to evaluate @jfirebaugh 's design changes.
