Editing own map with Potlach2

Hi everyone,

 

I am a newbie so sorry if the question seems dumb. I would like to setup a
mapserver using the rails port tutorial and to start working on a local map.
>From what I am seeing the OSM rails port is editing the Open Street Map from
openstreetmap.org  How can I edit my own local map from the web interface
(with ID or Potlach2 etc.) Thank you in advance.
