I think this mostly looks fine now.

The behaviour is a bit odd if you do something which tries to use the side bar without cancelling the advert first as the advert moves down below the other content. It gets worse if the content gets long enough for the scroll bar to appear as it squeezes the ad and causes the close icon to overlay it.

I'm not sure what we've done in previous years, but I suspect the ad has vanished while the sidebar is in use, as I think the welcome message does if you haven't cancelled it?
