The LWG is OK with enabling Github accounts see https://docs.google.com/document/d/12jJw7qNGhQCIE4z0h33CH9yrtTIWnpNksAd86Pxiu1o/edit wikimedia needs some clarificatiosn with the WMF which we are in the process of doing.
