You seem to have confused "need" and "would like" here ;-)

The former is certainly not been unreasonable and has always been something I thought I might get around to some day. The technical stuff isn't hard but there will be lots of messy UI work which is mostly what I haven't been bothered enough to do it yet.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by the second. Using a social login button to register already links the accounts?
