Just tried to sign in with Google. It gave my old non-gmail address with which I registered in Google ages ago. It still works, but I doubt google tests its existence after the first time.

And even it's a gmail address that exists, you cannot verify that a user actually uses that email and not some other in other mailing service. I registered in google with my actual address just by chance, I have another google account with a proper gmail address which I check only once every 2-3 years.
