At the top of the page there is "Edit History Export"
Click Export.
Observe how the map slides over to accommodate the new side panel.
Google Maps never in a 100 years would do such a thing.
Please just simply leave the map alone when overlaying the panel.
Your unnecessary sliding of the map causes the user to need to take a
lot of time to double check if his selected area has been messed with.
Totally unnecessary!
What sense does it make to lose his right 1/3rd to preserve his left
1/3rd?
Why not just do no sliding, losing his left 1/3rd instead of his right
third?
As you see 1/3rd will be lost from the screen either way, but my way is
much less alarming.
(And yes, when I talk about loss, I am talking about what is displayed,
not what is selected.)
