I don't think its to do with #1800 , because that PR doesn't change any of the underlying logic - its just adds the red highlighting and the place name to the error box.

I tried doing a nominatim search, and its the address string thats wrong.
The full address in English - [A1N5G0, Place des Archives, Perrache, Lyon 2nd arrondissement, Lyon, Métropole de Lyon, departmental constituency of Rhone, Auvergne-Rhone-Alps, Metropolitanes France, 69002, France](https://nominatim.openstreetmap.org/search.php?q=A1N5G0%2C+Place+des+Archives%2C+Perrache%2C+Lyon+2nd+arrondissement%2C+Lyon%2C+M%C3%A9tropole+de+Lyon%2C+departmental+constituency+of+Rhone%2C+Auvergne-Rhone-Alps%2C+Metropolitanes+France%2C+69002%2C+France&polygon_geojson=1&viewbox=) returns nothing, but the shorter [A1N5G0, Place des Archives, Perrache](https://nominatim.openstreetmap.org/search.php?q=A1N5G0%2C+Place+des+Archives%2C+Perrache&polygon_geojson=1&viewbox=) returns the full address.

Crucially though, the positive result returns the full address in french, which then _does_ work when you do the [search again](https://nominatim.openstreetmap.org/search.php?q=A1N5G0%2C+Place+des+Archives%2C+Perrache%2C+Lyon+2e+Arrondissement%2C+Lyon%2C+M%C3%A9tropole+de+Lyon%2C+Departemental+constituency+of+Rh%C3%B4ne%2C+Auvergne-Rh%C3%B4ne-Alpes%2C+Metropolitan+France%2C+69002%2C+France&polygon_geojson=1&viewbox=)

So my guess is its something to do with the translating into English and (in the example) German.
