@pnorman @tomhughes @simonpoole I was about to say that OSMF's own waiver form says "Attribution by OpenStreetMap and its users through https://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright..." but I just checked and the waivers at https://blog.openstreetmap.org/2017/03/17/use-of-cc-by-data/ say "http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Contributors", this must have been updated after the post went live because the local copy of the waivers I downloaded point to the copyright page, not the wiki.
Can you confirm that the waiver was updated?
It's a real pity as I've unknowingly been using the original waiver and so far have 11 organisations who've completed it. Given it requires multiple levels of approvals within the agencies which takes a huge amount of resources and time I'm not looking to re-approach each with this change,
I think we just need to accept this and agree to honour our side of the agreement, from the OSMF's legal side will it be enough that https://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright has a link to https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Contributors or per the original waiver should we include the attribution on https://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright, in which case I'll need to submit a PR like this one.
