This world is full of edge-cases. For example, we have mostly two letter language codes, but also

* pt-BR
* zh-CN
* zh-TW
* be-Tarask

I've also looked at i18n_data, and it has some strange translations. For example, for 'EL' ("Greek (Ελληνικά)") we would end up with things like:

```
irb(main):008:0> I18nData.languages('DE')['EL']
=> "Neugriechisch (ab 1453)"
irb(main):009:0> I18nData.languages('EN')['EL']
=> "Greek, Modern (1453-)"
```
which might be technically accurate but it's not user-friendly.
