[openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website] Distances units in routing (#2610)

[blackboxlogic]

When using osm.org to get routing directions, I'm shown the distance of the route in km.

- I'd like a way to select my preferred units
- I'd like my preference to be saved between sessions
