@tomhughes: Did you have a bad day? mmd-osm asks me a question, and you close the bug 17 minutes later without giving me a chance to answer the question? And why can't you just read what I had written? The bug description starts with: "When you click the 'Location' link". Have you troubles finding that link, or don't you know what clicking a link means?
I've marked it with a red rectangle in this screenshot:
![osm_locationlink](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/6015933/92324168-55202f80-f03f-11ea-9570-0e60b34c4268.png)
The coordinates ("36.6998006, 67.6846211") are in blue. That's how most web browsers indicate a web link. If you click it, you'll get to a page _without_ the orange circle.
Of course, you don't need that link when the location is the same as the orange circle in the current page. But on the history page, the locations may differ. And after all, even if you don't need to click a link, it should work as expected if you click it anyway. When you click a location link, you expect the location to be shown, don't you?

@mmd-osm: I provided a generic URL because it's the same for every node, even for id=1. It's not about displaying deleted objects, but to display previous node locations (see my first comment) and to actually make the location links do what they are labeled as.
