I understand that never are any guarantees (in life in general). OSM `chef` repo also has good PR pulled/total ratio, but for some reason communication with me seems to have stopped for long periods (and I'm unable to find a fault at my side - I do not think I was rude or that I heavily deviated from agreed design or something).
Hopefully this repo has [bus factor](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bus_factor) > 1, and the other one will recover too. I never expect that any idea even if implemented would be accepted, but I kind of did expect that once the implementation is agreed on by persons with commit right, and one gets to work and completes PR as agreed, that there will be SOME followup (ideally PR pull, but requesting changes or at least some kind of comment are equally fine).
I would not however expect communication to become blackholed for more than 3 months, even after few attempts to reestablish communication.
But as noted, it is nothing to do with you - I just wanted to explain the relation, as for external contributors such as myself, it is all just OSM, we don't know how internal division of work is done. But does look like OSM communication problem, and I hope you can see how it can turn away potential contributors. I am not sure if that is general issue, or restricted to one repo - I lack the internal view of OSM that you might have. I'd also completely understand if such delay is temporary issue created by unexpected events, but if some other admin/commiter with inside information could just add an one sentence explanation or just a message of hope to that PR it would be greatly appreciated.
I usually try to get get a buy-in from the persons that would be pulling the PR, before getting to work.
If I understand correctly that it might probably be you @gravitystorm for this issue?
