The original issues are still around, and the topic is on the DWG wishlist. So it's unlikely that topic will disappear.

As I'm not following the repo much these days, and there's lots of related activity in other pull requests I can't keep up with at the moment, closing seemed unavoidable. I really hope @AntonKhorev can take over somehow.
