Looks fairly uncontroversial.

I am more in favour of:
> I can press "Delete account" today, but my account will be deleted in 30 days.
That way, usernames that might identify a person on their own will vanish. It is in the interest of the GDPR to allow people to clear their traces and that seems worth it, while still allowing for timely damage control without resorting to advanced tools.
PS: The person behind AustrianMapper (it is a small country, there is only a single one) highly likely employs the strategy of creating and deleting OSM user accounts to evade a life-time block. There need not be a technical solution to every social problem.
