I know this is an old issue, but reading this gave me an idea: why *don't* we make a way for there to be links to users *own* favorite tools? It could be configured on a per-account settings page using templates, like `https://osmcha.org/changesets/{changeset}` (similar to the way iD supports custom background tiles).
The philosophy here is that with any link to an external service, many (if not most) users don't care/use the link. So I think it makes the most sense for it to be configurable—reducing clutter by default, and resolving 90% of issues asking for helpful links to external services.
