Hmm, KDE-Editor KDE counts semicolon and the TAG SPACE as 1 step, but 10 characters (the whole strings has 258). Java sees 259 characters.

So different languages and tools handle that different - That's not really nice.

I think we'll stick without the workaround to drop these characters in JOSM and keep that in mind in case other similar issues pop up.
