Well one more is not an avalanche.
In the past there have been a couple of discussions around improving the facility (by for example providing for app private preferences which might play in to this request too). My question would be, what are the apps storing in the preferences that the length restrictions are even relevant?
The other issue with this is that the facility currently doesn't prove any management UI that is integrated in to the website. That is bearable for the low use it currently gets, but not if significant amounts of data are stored, particularly not if they contain privacy relevant information.
