I see, though I’d still contend that _fields_ don’t need to be in scope. My understanding is that each preset has a name and defines a set of tags that it matches in combination. In some cases, the preset refines another more generic preset, so some of its tags correspond to fields of the other preset by coincidence, but it shouldn’t matter for this use case.

A helper library would look very similar to what Cartes has implemented for labeling their search results, plus support for languages besides French, minus some extra hard-coded overrides. The main difference to this site’s existing code is that we’d potentially weigh multiple matches rather than just picking the first match.
