"Details" is a leftover from the times when there was a "details" page, a "history" page and that was it. I'm not sure if calling the main element page "version" is a good idea. "Current version" or "Last version" still doesn't make the distinction in https://github.com/openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website/issues/5618#issuecomment-2637613506 clear. It's some kind of *element home page* and history/versions are its subpages.
