@ppKrauss That is an interesting idea. But I would much prefer to popularize the OLC even more and therefore show them on the openstreetmap.org website wherever coordinates where shown before as an addition. And also for them to be used in the search (same for the geo:…).

We just need interoperability and standards, therefore the OLC or plus-codes should be used everywhere so that they become more common and known. As they are open I see nothing speaking against it, except: there are one million other codifications of geo coordinates. Yes, but one has to be an easy recognizable standard.
