Yes, you can! 🙂 We don't assign issues, so just pick any task you like and go for it. (See the [contribution guidelines](https://github.com/openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md)).

A couple of recommendations:
- Push to Git early and create a draft PR. This helps us seeing that there's activity, and we can use the PR to discuss progress, ask questions, etc.
- Before you start work, consider if it can be split into separate PRs. This makes it easier to deliver and review.
