Thank you all for the reports! I'm seeing that this actually happens with Map Data too, but it's less obvious because that's only allowed at higher zoom levels and becomes insignificant quicker.

I'm not sure of what the "correct" UI should be. Allowing to uncheck and then disabling the checkbox sounds a bit confusing. Perhaps instead the notes/data should be hidden while still kept technically enabled so that they reappear when zooming back in. But I'm not entirely sold on that either. Thoughts?
