I won't be able to contribute to this in the next month for personal (MA-thesis) reasons, but if there are bugs or defects that pop up, please ping me.
Will continue this work afterwards.

If someone else wants to temporarily take the wheel on this migration, there should not be thaaat much left.
Only the last step and maybe one refactoring PR before that.
