So now for next steps to discuss a few "new features" to reduce the final diff (=> more reviewable, currently that would still be a multiple hundred lines).
Lets brainstorm a bit before committing to the "one large push" strategy for the main map.

How about:
- adding right click context menu to either of the diary or edit location views
- adding attribution to either the diary, edit location or dashboard
- adding a ScaleControl (integrated with the i18n system) to the diary page

I am fine with doing it in one big push, but if there are further issues that I can peel out into different PRs, that makes this much more sustainable to review I think.
