I hope I'm not seeming too pushy, it's just I realized there's even a vector example based on OSM that works fine without 3D acceleration: [CoMaps](https://codeberg.org/comaps/comaps/). But that doesn't easily help when e.g. a business directly links the OSM main website, where e.g. embeds seem under some circumstances currently require WebGL. So that's why it still kind of matters for the default OSM.
