[openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website] "Query features" highlights wrong features (Issue #7308)

OK so that's a fairly straightforward failure to cleanup but that still seems different to the original report which as I understood it was that a query was done and an object selected but extra highlights not related to the object appeared?
