There is an additional API function that has been added (I think a
while ago but it hasn't actually been used yet) to "redact" an object,
not just delete it. This hides things permanently. This function
requires special permission for the user who is attempting to run it
so it isn't available to most mappers. But this is what the license
bot will use. Changes have also been made to the website to reflect
this new "redacted" status as you can see here:
