Hello OJW,
I could offer you to write a plugin for Traveling-Salesman
to export the current route and some strip of map-data around
it on a local URL. This way you can plan your route in advance
using a laptop (even in your hotel-room without net-access) and
synchronize you pda before hitting the road.
