[Routing] Implementing a webservice to find the shortest path using OSM data

I am trying to display a shortest path given starting point and a
destination point in an Android application. Currently I have an up and
running MapServer, TileSrver, and Nominatim service. Map is rendered to the
Android MapView by using osmdroid library.

I want to implement my own webservice to produce coordinates of the
shortestpath towards my Android app and want to calculate that shortest
path using my own webservice. Where do I start? How can I do this? Thanks
in advance.
