[Strategic] SOTM meeting (introduction)

Hi all,

I hope this message arrives at the right place in the threat... about introducing oneself to the Strategic-list.

A bit about myself. 40+ yo industrial designer turned service designer who was born in The Netherlands and moved 15 years ago to Finland. Since my arrival in .fi I mainly have been working for private and governmental organizations (R&D) to help them to turn IPOs and new ideas into products or services. After 10 years of that kind of work I was asked to set up the design department at a large Telecom provider. Having seen and experienced the internal politics from very close I decided it was time to leave. I share a small company with my wife, Leena. At this company we do a wide range of creative things. 

I picked up my interest in energy (geo politics) and worked in that field for a while, research and consulting. At the same time I tried to recover my commercial telecom experiences. Since 3 years, as a result of findings during my "energy" time, I work on a project called "Caloom". It is a (OSM)map based service with a high do-good motivation behind it. Caloom is still in progress and we do some pilots to fine tune a few things. Focus for Caloom is third sector and citizens. Enough about me, if you have questions mail :-)

OSM is very important to my project but in the years I follow it I have seen how it is important for much more. I like to help to strengthen OSM, make it more accessible and understood. For now I listen and follow this list. Maybe there is a moment or reason to write something, maybe you want my opinion. Time will tell how this evolves.
