I'd largely agree with Frederik's point (though "money-laundering" was  
perhaps a bit harsh :) ) - we are not here as an intermediary to raise  
funds from one organisation and donate them to another.

OSMF has very limited resources (capital, revenue, and human alike)  
and we need to focus them on the core mission: growing the database  
and making it available via openstreetmap.org.

If Maposmatic, which is a terrific project, could be _sustainably_  
integrated into osm.org as "export tab on crack" then that might be  
interesting. But our volunteers and our resources are stretched thinly  
enough that we need to be careful about taking on extra work.
