One thing to bear in mind when thinking about membership is that (per
the Memorandum of Association) any member is potentially liable to pay
the sum of £5 if the company should be wound up while owing more than it
has in assets.
So becoming a member certainly has to be something that people choose to
do rather than something we can confer automatically.
