[Tagging] Entrances..

A subway entrance is a descending staircase, usually in the middle of a sidewalk.  Coming from one direction, you encounter the steps.  Coming from the other three directions, you encounter some sort of wall or fence to keep you from falling into the stairwell.

Could you expand & clarify on what you mean by U-form & why you'd tag an 
entrance with a wall?
