Ah; I looked at this and saw a different problem. I'm used to a satnav
that doesn't know exit numbers. All it says is "take the exit on the
left." And that can be confusing when the road signs consider that
direction "straight". Both cases you gave could have this problem,
since we can't use the highway=* tag to determine which way is
"straight" and which way is "left/right".
Anyway, to address your problem, destination sign relations would
definitely help. The satnav may still say "left" when it ought to say
"straight", but it would be able to give a name for the driver to
follow, which is probably more helpful anyway. Ideally *every* exit
would have multiple DS relations for everything that's labeled at that
exit, but it will take us a while to get there.
