Because I'm pro-subtagging I'd be inclined to sub-tag the
shop=hardware tag, the default could be hardware=retail you could then
also have hardware=wholesale or something to that effect, where
retailers might also offer wholesale quantity discounts for
professional builders etc etc etc...
