Recently someone on the German ML wrote, that Potlatch 2 has a preset
for man_made=antenna. This tag does not seem to be documented in the
wiki, but alternatives are. Shouldn't we try to use the same tags for
the same features?
There are the following suggestions in the wiki:
* man_made=tower, tower:type=communication taginfo: 39 492 times used
* man_made=beacon taginfo: 2201 uses,
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:man_made=beacon
* man_made=mast taginfo: 1538 uses,
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:man_made=mast
* man_made=communications_tower
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Communications_tower
taginfo: 1033 uses, wiki states to use tower and tower:type instead
* man_made=communications_transponder taginfo: 264 uses,
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Communications_Transponder
* radio_transponder=yes
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:radio_transponder taginfo: 2
uses
I also found 182 man_made=pole
The tag that PL2 implements (man_made=antenna) is currently used only 454 times
Is there a chance to normalize/integrate the various variants to tag these?
cheers,
Martin
