thanks. there would need to be a little change, as hydrants are not 
seamarks, but i can use the approach,
and the color chart is more than sufficient for what i'm seeing on 
hydrants. i may want to just have a
generic stripe pattern as a dry hydrant frequently has a short vertical, 
a 45 degree bend and a longer
diagonal, and another 45 degree bend and a short horizontal, with 
stripes along the length.
