This is the short answer. But we have seen in the past that
semi-colon, aggregated values are finally almost never used. And this
is even more critical here since religion is often doubled by a second
tag "designation".
I don't know the details for this particular case but I would try
first to put common values (place_of_worship) on the temple itself and
create specific osm elements like nodes or polygons inside the temple
for the more specific religions.
