that's obviously a very bad idea, also because there are indeed brands with
this name, e.g. a skateboard parts company:
http://www.independenttrucks.com/ and clothing company
http://www.skatesonhaight.com/Independent-Clothing-s/274.htm
There is also "the Independent" (newspaper).

A quick research on the german register for brands (also international
brands) has revealed 232 brands with "Independent" in their name.
