http://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/keys/addr:street:corner#map
It does not look as if that key is used anywhere outside the Philippines.
Here in Austria, we sometimes use corner addresses informally, when verbally
(e.g. on the phone) arranging an appointment, or when describing how to find
a certain shop. But these discriptions are not considered addresses. They
are never used officially. There are two reasons:
- Corner addresses are much longer than street + housenumber.
- Corner addresses are ambiguous if there's more then 1 building or estate
adjacent to the junction. A T-shaped junction has 2 corners adjacent to it,
a "+" shaped corner even 4.
Anyway, if corner addresses are in use in your country, you need a tag for them.
I don't like the addr:street:corner key because it contains a second colon
for no obvious reason. addr:street:corner is not really a subkey of
addr:street. I would consider a tag name like addr:street_corner or just
addr:corner or using a tag for each street (addr:street=* + addr:street1=*).
However, it is probably too late to change that, given that the
addr:street:corner key is already in use. So I suggest to just document it
on http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:addr, maybe with some reference to
the Philippines concerning usage and origin of the tag.
