[Tagging] Deprecating wikipedia Tag

does anyone know if and how Wikipedia and wikidata are kept in sync? I remember finding some problematic interwikilinks in the past, where similar but not identical concepts had been linked against each other - and the better fitting article of a particular language wasn't linked. Where will these be fixed? Also: how can you edit wikidata?
