Anyone remember the discussion:

There someone stated that "ground" is too ambiguous in British English:

after that I started using earth instead, as that was a better word (as far
as I remember from that discussion).
It's nice to see the same discussions popping up every now and then.
Especially, when the outcome seems to be different :-/
