[Tagging] subway_entrance

Hi all,
I'm wondering about tagging for subway_entrances. I've seen "steps=yes" on
some.
In my view, it would make sense the label subway_entrances e.g. as follows:
wheelchair=yes
steps=yes
conveying=yes
indicating that the entrance ("conceptually" offers these features). Do you
agree?

I've also see people use "ref=123" to indicate the exist number (where
available). There seems to be some discussion as to whether this is
"correct", but in practice it seems to be used (e.g. in London).
